So, with MWC 2018 beginning to loom, Google has begun teasing about another huge tech event – its annual Developer Conference, or Google I/O as you may know it. This year, the conference will run from 8 – 10 May and returns to the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Google’s hometown, Mountain View.
The Google Developer’s Twitter account posted a tweet with a clue in the binary code language, that when deciphered gives up a Google Maps page that offers to take you behind the scenes of I/O 2018. From there, you are led to the reception area of a Google Developer’s office, where you can check out further clues to move to the next step. If you want to have a go at the clues by yourself, click here to begin your journey. If you just want to skip through, I’ve inserted the answers to the clues, found by this group on Discord, at the bottom of the article.
The clues range from an upside-down pineapple cake to sushi, to a chess board and even a painting, among others. After finding all the answers to the clues, there is a final puzzle called the Coin Decodertron 1018 where you have to match up the symbols to access the path to the final answer.
It’s thought that, like last year when Android O was shown off for the first time, that we’ll also see Android P make its début, and no doubt Google Assistant will also be front and center during the conference. Will we see the much-anticipated Fuchsia OS? Who knows, it’s always a possibility, but likely not a probability.
